Sensory Friendly Formation & Liturgy
A welcoming church experience sensitive to the sensory needs of people on the Autism Spectrum. Our goal is to offer family-friendly alternative worship.

Sensory-Friendly worship services feature therapeutic materials, sensory aids and a relaxed and tranquil settin.

Designed for young people on the Autism Spectrum, Sensory-Friendly worship is open to everyone, including siblings, friends, or anyone who'd like to experience an innovative and relaxed way to worship.

Rejopicing Spirits is a joyful and spirited celebration in the Lutheran tradition, and includes participation opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.

Don't worry about behaviors - we are low-key, relaxed and non-judgmental!

A Ministry of Social Justice
When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14

A Ministry of Awareness - A Special Grace seeks to raise awareness in the church of the issues facing Autism Spectrum families, including barriers to church attendance and participation.

A Ministry of Inclusion– A Special Grace engages in campaigns for full inclusion in the church of children, teens, youth and adults on the Spectrum.

A Ministry of Understanding– A Special Grace seeks to develop programs, curriculum, aids and materials for use in churches to meet the needs of Autism Spectrum families.

Looking to establish or promote a sensory-friendly worship service in your area ?

Here are some things you can do:   In MA

  • send an email to The Rev. Rebecca Black: or call 508-454-2441
  • A general query can be directed to one of the Bishops of the Episcopal Diocese of MA   - website:
  • Download an insert to use in your Sunday bulletin by clicking here.
  • Download a brochure to hand out to others by clicking here.

Although our ministry is recognized by the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, we receive no funding from any parish or Diocese. It's not that we are adverse to funding -- just that our congregation falls into the area of "Emerging Church" and is very different from a traditional parochial ministry. If you'd like to help fund this ministry, we would gratefully accept your donation. ALL donations are 100% used for supplies for the website or for worship services. Thank you!!

We'd Love to Hear From You!
